profound scatological thought of the week. entry no. 1,247. this is inspired by my trip this past weekend up to the mountains in aosta: why is it that ibices (is the plural ibex? ibexes?) have pellet-shaped poo? leading to the broader question, why is it -- and how is it -- that different creatures have different shaped poo? the ibex seems to belong to the deer and rabbit camp. i conjecture that it has something to do with the shape of one's colon or one's type of diet. do any of you vegetarians out there have rabbit poo? but then again, hamsters, like humans, dogs, and cats, are capable of creating turds (and most of what they eat looks like poo anyway) do we even want to venture into discussion about birds?
